Garlic Hummus
Garlic hummus is hummus - a blended dip of chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and olive oil - made with extra garlic blended in or roasted garlic folded through, giving it a sharper, more pungent edge than plain hummus. It is seasoned with salt, cumin, and sometimes paprika or cayenne pepper. Common in Levantine and Mediterranean cooking, it is served as a dip for pita bread and vegetables or as a spread for sandwiches and wraps. Fresh herbs such as parsley or mint, toasted pine nuts, or a drizzle of olive oil are common finishing garnishes.
