- ¼ cup caster sugar
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 punnets strawberries, trimmed and halved
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
