• 170 g unsalted butter (at room temperature)
• 300 g castor sugar (or fine granulated sugar)
• 3 extra -large eggs (or 4 medium eggs, at room temperature)
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 300 ml sour cream
• 300 g cake flour (see notes below)
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
• 50 g light brown sugar (packed)
• 60 g plain flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
• 3 tablespoons cold unsalted butter (cut into pieces)
• 3/4 cup pecans or walnuts (chopped)
• 4-5 tablespoons icing sugar
• 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup
