Ingredients

• 3 tablespoons dark rum
• 1 tablespoon water
• 1/3 cup raisins
• 1/2 cup Jazzmen rice
• 2 1/2 cups half-and-half, or more if needed
• 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
• 2 egg yolks
• 1/6 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup heavy (double) cream
• 6 figs, cut in half through the stem end
