• 3/4 cup shortening
• 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
• 1 egg
• 2 1/4 cups flour
• 1/2 cup applesauce
• 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
• 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup raisins
• 1/2 cup nuts (chopped)
