Ingredients

• 1/2 lb dried apples, chopped
• 4 cups water
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 recipe dry baking mix
• 1 1/2 cup sourdough starter (see listing)
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp nutmeg
• 1/4 cups margarine
