• ½ cup (125 ml) clear or golden corn syrup
• 2 eggs
• 3 tbsp unbleached all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp cocoa powder
• ⅓ cup (70 g) sugar
• 2 tbsp cornstarch
• 1 egg
• 1 ½ cups (375 ml) milk
• 1 cup (250 ml) 35% whipping cream
• 4 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
