• 2/3 cup maple syrup (or golden syrup)
• 1 tablespoon bourbon (optional)
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter
• 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 pie crust, chilling in the fridge until used
