Ingredients

• 1 pkg caramels, unwrapped (14 oz)
• 5 medium fist-sized apples (I used Cortlands), peeled, cored, & sliced thin
• 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 1/2 c brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 c melted butter
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 c + 1/4 c coarsely chopped pecans
• 1/4 c milk
