• 1/2 pound bacon cut 1/2" pieces
• 1 large red onion minced
• 3 garlic cloves chopped
• 6 cups chicken broth
• 1/4 cup tomato paste
• 2 teaspoons dried oregano
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt (or granulated salt)
• 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• 3 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1/2 pound turkey kielbasa cut 1" pieces
• 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
• 1/3 cup coarsely-chopped parsley
