Ingredients

• 1 pound unsalted butter, softened
• 1 1/3 cups sugar
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 3 large egg yolks
• 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped, or 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
• 4 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 1/4 cups chopped hazelnuts, toasted
• 3/4 cup coarsely chopped dried cherries
• 3/4 cup milk chocolate chunks or chips
