Ingredients

• 1 clove garlic
• 1/4 cup shortening
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. pepper
• 1 cup meat stock or boiling water
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 1/4 pound hamburger
• 1/2 cup diced carrots
• 1/2 cup chopped string beans
• 4 cups tomato sauce
