Cheesy Hamburger Soup

Ingredients

• 1/8 tsp black pepper
• 3 cups potatoes, peeled and diced into bite sized pieces
• 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 cup celery, diced into small pieces
• 16 oz. Velveeta Cheese, original
• 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
• 1/2 tsp basil
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 cup all purpose flour
• 16 oz. half and half
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup shredded/grated carrots *see photo above
• 2 cans chicken broth
