Ingredients

• 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
• 1 onion chopped
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) chicken broth
• 3 cups (750 mL) fresh or frozen broccoli coarsely chopped
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) Milk
• 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) shredded Canadian Cheddar cheese
• 1/4 tsp (1 mL) Tabasco sauce
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) fresh dill or fresh parsley or fresh chives chopped
• 1 red bell pepper chopped - optional
