- 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 T sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 T honey
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 package hotdogs (Hebrew Nationals or Nathan's are my favorite )
- 6-12 wooden skewers
- 2 quarts peanut oil (for frying)
