I make this and can it when I have time. It's an awesome recipe that requires very little babysitting due to the crockpot.

- 5 pound(s) apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped (or grated) (mixed varieties - see directions)
- 24 ounce(s) jarred applesauce, unsweetened
- 2 cup(s) apple juice, unsweetened
- 3 1/3 cup(s) sugar
- 2/3 cup(s) brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon(s) cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoon(s) apple pie spice*
