My Chinese noodles from Clarissa's Comfort Food by Clarissa Dickson Wright

Ingredients

• 2 packets Dolly noodles or 1 packet egg noodles
• a thumb-sized piece of root ginger, peeled and cut into strips
• 1 dessertspoon olive oil
• 2 handfuls beansprouts (optional)
• 1 dessertspoon soy sauce
• 1 dessertspoon sesame oil
• 175-225 g diced cold pork, cut into 2.5cm squares
• small piece of blachan (shrimp paste), optional
• 1 chilli, chopped
• 1 bunch spring onions, chopped
