• 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 large eggs
• 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
• 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
