• 1 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tbsp milk
• 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp bakgin soda
• 4 cups old-fashioned oats
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
