• 4 ounces baking chocolate (sweet German )
• 1/2 cup water
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup butter (softened)
• 4 eggs (large)
• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour ( or 2 1/2 cups cake flour)
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup evaporated milk
• 3 egg yolks
• 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
• 1 cup pecans (chopped )
