Pepparkakor Recipe – Spiced Chrismtas Cookies - Great British Chefs
These spiced Swedish cookies, also known as pepparkakor, are a great Christmas bake to make with your children.
Ingredients
- 150ml of golden syrup
- 250g of soft dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp of ground ginger
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 175g of salted butter, softened
- 150ml of double cream
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 750g of plain flour
- 300g of icing sugar
- food colouring, your choice of colours
