Ingredients

• 3/4 cup butter
• 1-1/4 cup pure creamed honey
• 2 organic eggs
• 1-1/2 cup almond butter
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract (optional)
• 1 large sweet firm Ontario apple*, cored, peeled and cut into small cubes
• 3 cups whole wheat or spelt flour
• 1/4 cup ground flax
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped into small bits (minimum 70% cocoa) (can use 100 g bar)
