Banana and date cake

Ingredients

• Banana and date fundraiser
• 3 cups self-raising flour
• 2 teaspoons mixed spice
• 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
• 4 medium bananas, mashed (2 cups)
• 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup chopped pitted dates
• 1 cup natural yoghurt
• 3/4 cup oil
• Icing
• 125 grams cream cheese, chopped, at room temperature
• 1 1/2 cup pure icing sugar, sifted
• 2 tablespoons orange juice
• 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
