Ingredients

• 2–3 medium sweet potatoes (2 1/2–3 pounds)
• 1 cup evaporated milk
• 1 cup sugar
• 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) butter, melted
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• Pinch salt, or more as desired topping
• 1 cup crushed cornflakes
• 1/2 cup light brown sugar
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans
