Ingredients

• 1 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
• 2 Eggs beaten
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 TBSP warm water
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 3 cup flour
• 1 cup chopped nuts optional
• 12 ounces chocolate chips
