• 2 egg yolks
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 and 1/2 cups (3 sticks) margarine
• 1 teaspoon Haddar Baking Powder
• 3/4 cup seltzer
• pinch of salt
• Gefen Bread Crumbs, for sprinkling
• 4 pounds (about 8) Cortland apples, very thinly sliced
• 1 and 1/2 cups sugar
• sprinkle of cinnamon
• juice of 1 lemon
• 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
• egg white, beaten or 3 tablespoons Haddar Egg Whites, for brushing
