Ingredients

• 1 cup (250 mL) maraschino cherries, quartered
• 2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) ground almonds
• 2 tsp (10 mL) baking powder
• 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
• 3/4 cup (175 mL) butter, softened
• 1 tsp (5 mL) almond extrac
• 3/4 cup (175 mL) sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1/3 cup (75 mL) sour cream
