- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate (I used Lindt EXCELLENCE 85%
- 2 tablespoons rum (or brewed coffee)
- 1 stick softened butter, plus more for pan
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar, plus 1 tablespoon
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup almond meal(I used Bob's Red Mill)
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract (I used Nielsen-Massey)
- 1/2 cup cake flour
- 4 oz bittersweet chocolate (I used Lindt EXCELLENCE 85%)
- 4 oz rum
- 6 tablespoons butter, room temperature
- sliced almonds for garnish
