Ingredients

  • Ground pork is super affordable at Lake Geneva Country Meats. It’s less expensive than ground beef, chicken breast, or other cuts of pork.
  • The lighter flavor compared to beef really shines with Asian flavors like soy sauce.
  • Since our ground pork at Lake Geneva Country Meats is 80% lean compared to 85% lean ground beef, the little bit more fat helps balance the acidity in soy sauce!
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Sliced carrots
  • Leafy greens like bok choy, kale, or chard
  • Sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 lb Ground Pork
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Bell Pepper (various colors – sliced)
  • 1 Yellow Onion (sliced)
  • 1 cup Broccoli (florets)
  • 2 clove Garlic (minced)
  • .25 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Mirin (or substitute 1 tsp white sugar)
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • Green Onion (freshly sliced for garnish)
  • Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
  • Heat a large skillet or wok to medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, add the ground pork, and seas with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the ground pork until it is browned, breaking the pork into small pieces as it cooks. Once cooked, remove the pork to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
  • Once cooked, remove the dish from the heat, and serve over rice with chopped green onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Enjoy your ground pork Asian stir fry!
