Ingredients

• 3 sticks (1 & 1/2 cups) unsalted butter, at room temperature
• 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
• 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (extract will work too but I prefer paste)
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 3 & 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, at room temperature
• 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
• pinch of salt
• 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
• 2-3 tbsp heavy cream, as needed
• Blue gel food coloring
