Ian Rosado - Gooey Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter, room temp
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg
• 1 tbsp molasses (optional, but recommended)
• 1 cup flour
• 1.5 cups instant oatmeal
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
