Sachlav AKA sahlab or salep, is a unique warm winter drink popular in Israel and the whole Middle East. It is made with milk and aromatics like rose water.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup milk (divded)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 cinnamon stick
- 2 cardamom pod (cracked)
- 2 tbsp rose water
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- sweetened coconut
- toasted almond slivers
- pomegranate seeds
