Ingredients

• 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cardamom pod, seeds removed and finely ground
• 1/4 teaspoon of freshly-grated nutmeg
• oil, for greasing the waffle iron
• 1 cup of thinly sliced strawberries
• 1 tablespoon of sugar, or vanilla sugar
• 1/2 tablespoon of freshly-chopped mint leaves
