• 1 pound Premio Premio Cheese & Basil Italian Sausage , cut into _ discs
• 9 x 9 inch glass baking dish, coated with extra virgin olive oil
• 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
• 8 slices Italian bread
• 1/4 cup sweet basil leaves, washed and coarsely chopped
• 2 Portabello mushroom caps, washed and cut into 1″ cubes
• 3 ripe Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Reggiano cheese
• 3 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1 cup light cream
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
• 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground white pepper
• 3 tablespoons grated Romano cheese for garnish
• 1/4 teaspoon paprika for garnish
• 1 tablespoon whole milk ricotta cheese per serving
