• 3/4 cup vegetable shortening
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 large egg
• 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
• 3/4 cup salted butter
• 1/3 cup melted salted butter, for Filling
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup corn syrup
• 3 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1/2 teaspoons salt, for Filling
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 eggs, for Filling
