• 1 and 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon almond extract
• 1 large egg, at room temperature
• 2 and 1/4 cups (281g) all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled)
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 - 2 Tablespoons (15-30ml) milk
• one 4-ounce quality semi-sweet chocolate bar (113g), finely chopped*
• maraschino cherries
• sprinkles or coarse sugar
