• 3/4 cup boiling water
• 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
• 1 Tbsp baking soda
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 3 tsp chipotle powder
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup butter, room temperature
• 4 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 2 Tbsp canned chipotles in adobe sauce, pureed
