• 1 cup butter (softened)
• 1 ¾ cups sugar
• ¾ cup brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1/3 cup molasses
• 2 ¾ cups flour
• 1 ¼ teaspoons soda
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• 2 tsp minced ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
• 1 teaspoon ground cloves
• 2 teaspoons nutmeg
• ½ teaspoon salt
• raw sugar- for coating outside of cookies
