Vieux Carré Cocktail Recipe | Boozenik
The Vieux Carré has been a favorite of most cocktail lovers visiting New Orleans, since Walter Bergeron first concocted this spirit-forward drink in the 1930s.
Ingredients
- 1 oz. rye whiskey (we use Sazerac)
- 1 oz. cognac (we use Pierre Ferrand)
- 1 oz. sweet vermouth (we use Martini and Rossi, but Dolin would also work)
- 1 tsp. Bénédictine
- 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
