- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups chopped celery
- 2 recipes egg bread (recipe follows), cooked and crumbled
- 5 hard boiled eggs, diced
- 1 (10-ounce) can cream of celery soup
- 2 (10-ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
- 3 (14-ounce) cans Swanson chicken broth
- 1 cup chopped chicken or turkey, or more if desired
