Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds cherry tomatoes (halved)
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Fine sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 shallot (minced)
- 2 or 3 fresh thyme sprigs
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh basil
- 1 pound dried capricci (casarecce, or other short, sturdy pasta)
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
