Ingredients

• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1 cup white flour (may substitute half with whole wheat)
• 1/4 cup finelay ground flax seeds or almonds (optional)
• 1/2 cup butter, chilled, cut into pieces
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 tbsp Sherry or cold water
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 1/2 tsps natural vanilla or almond extract or lemon juice
• 8 ozs cream cheese, softened
• 1 pint strawberries
• 1/2 cup strawberry jelly or apricot jam, warmed
