Spiced Apples
Spiced apples are great stuffed into turnovers, piled onto potato pancakes and folded into cake batters, among many other applications.
Ingredients
- 6 lbs Golden Delicious apples ((about 24 medium))
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg (freshly grated)
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 2 tsp citric acid ((I use Fruit Fresh))
