Chinese Hot and Sour Soup (Appetizer Recipe)

Ingredients

• 6 cups of chicken broth
• 1-1/2 cups of fresh mushroom, sliced
• 1-1/2 cups of fresh spinach
• 3 tablespoons of light soy sauce
• 3 tablespoons of cider vinegar
• 3/4 teaspoons of black pepper
• 2-1/4 tablespoons of sesame oil
• Hot pepper oil or not available, hot pepper sauce (to taste)
• 3/4 pounds of tofu, cut into small cubes
• 3 tablespoons of cornstarch dissolved in 5 tablespoons of water
• 1 beaten egg
• 3 tablespoons of finely chopped cilantro
• 2 finely chopped green onions
