Soft and Chewy Brown Sugar Cookies - Caramel Goodness - Lina Cooks

Ingredients

• 1 egg yolk (from a large egg)
• 2 teaspoons and ½ more of vanilla essence
• ¾ cup light brown sugar (dark sugar can be used too or combined)
• 1 whole large egg
• 1 cup butter, softened (or 2 sticks, a total of 226 grams), split in half
• A teaspoon of baking soda
• 2 and a half cups of regular flour (an extra sprinkle can be added if the dough is sticky)
• ¾ teaspoon fine salt (use sea salt for best taste)
