Ingredients

• 1 cup unsalted butter ((2 sticks))
• ¾ cup powdered sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
• 1 tsp vanilla extract (or any flavor of extract works here)
• 2½ cups all-purpose flour (plus more for rolling out)
• 1 tsp sea salt
• 4 cups powdered sugar
• 3 tbsp meringue powder
• pinch of salt ((optional))
• ¼ to ½ cup water
