- 50 g demerara sugar
- 750 g butter, at room temperature
- 4 free-range organic eggs
- 2 tsp malt extract
- 2 tsp black treacle
- 270 g muscovado sugar
- 50 g 66% chocolate nibs
- 1½ tsp Maldon salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 480 g plain flour
- 50 g 40% chocolate nibs
