Last year LAUSD released their special coffee cake recipe. This is not our recipe but I think it needs more credit.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups baker’s flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 cup salad oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
