Ingredients

• 1 ½ lb. ground beef
• 1 large egg
• 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, freshly grated plus extra for garnish
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon panko breadcrumbs (substitute plain or Italian if not available)
• 1 tablespoon oregano, freshly chopped or 1 ½ teaspoons dried
• Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 28oz can crushed tomatoes, no sugar added
• 2 tablespoons parsley, freshly chopped for garnish
