- 1 large lemon zested and juiced
- 125g golden syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla paste or extract
- a grating nutmeg
- 1 beaten egg to glaze
- 30g whole almonds roughly chopped
- crème fraîche or vanilla ice cream to serve
